Recommend supermarket cake to pack in party bags

Could anyone recommend a nice, cheap-ish cake to slice up and pack in party bags? This will be for a party of 40 kids, so preferably nut-free. Many cakes end of being too dry or too squishy...I could always go out and buy some to sample but that wouldn't help my diet any! Any suggestions gratefully received.

I used an asda party tray cake, the chocolate one. was decent considering the size and price.

The Sainsbury's chocolate one with the small chocolate buttons on was what we packed in dd's party bags. It was moist and held its shape and the leftovers were nice too. £6 but you will need 2 or maybe 3 for forty guests.

Thank you so much both of you! Asda and Sains both close by, will def check out.

Lidl do a long rectangular marble cake which is yum and slices really well too.

Asda birthday cake (yellow box) is gorgeous. Sponge with buttercream and jam. During both of my pregnancies I treated myself the family to one of these cakes. Incidentally it wasn't anyone's birthday will have been someone's somewhere we just like it.

I love marble cake but no lidl nearby unfortunately. Yes indeed, it never needs to be a birthday to eat cake :-)
