Just a quick question and would really appreciate some advice. My DS is 9 months and eating really well, but only the meat dinners. He refuses to eat the leek and potato pie, cauli cheese, and all the other vegetable dinners i have made. I have tried to give the vegetable dinners at lunch time to see if that makes a difference, but he still refuses them. He loves toast and think he would like sandwiches; but am i jumping the gun thinking i can start a picnic style lunch and leave the meat dinners (which are packed with veg)for tea? Could i do this every day? Is it appropriate for him to have 2 hot dinners? By the way, he does love his fruit too, so that part of his diet is not missing.

he needs a variety of foods and at 9 months, and doesn't actually need enormous quantities of veg (it doesn't do any harm, but I found that both of my two were a bit sensitive to excessive quantities of veg at that age - nothing terrible, just v yukky nappies).

so anyway, if you're having trouble, then yes, I'd try picnic lunches. Or you can give him 2 meat dinners. I think he'll survive either way tbh.
