Have you got a quick and easy tuna/pasta/cheese sauce recipe?

I don't want to make pasta bake as I want to freeze portions for the toddler, but does anyone have an easy tuna pasta recipe with cheese sauce, maybe some veg too?

I am a shocking cook and have no idea on amounts etc Blush If I have one tin of tuna, how much cheese sauce do I need, how much pasta, and what's the easiest way of making cheese sauce (without a microwave)

Any other quick and easy pasta or similar recipes that freeze well are also welcome

I've got an easy macaroni cheese recipe online you might find a couple of other recipes useful too www.toddler-recipes.co.uk/quick-macaroni-cheese.html

For fish/meat I usually estimate a toddler palm sized amount, so around an inch squared I'd say. Mine eats a bit of tuna but i am not keen so would end up wasting a tin. I usually buy salmon fillets, chop them into inch squares and freeze. They defrost v quickly then you just need to poach in simmering water until cooked (around five mins). Hope this helps!

Thanks, and that does help with the salmon too - I've realised fish is probably lacking a lot from her meals so it's time to make a concerted effort!

easiest way to make a sauce is to put around a pint of milk in pan with couple of tablespoons or so of plain flour and couple of marg and then heat and mix. much easier than all that roue lark

I use a couple of tablespoons of Philadelphia instead of making a proper cheese sauce for my Dd, I add it to cooked pasta and it melts really well. I cook veg in with the pasta (peas, sweetcorn, broccoli etc) too. I do a more "grown up" version for me & DH with dill & smoked salmon which is lush.

I also do the same with tomatoes, add a couple of spoons to tomatoes in a pan then stir until dissolved. I then add in tuna or spinach or olives, depending what's in the fridge!

Not sure how well it would freeze, though, but it's so easy & quick to do small amounts - always end up making a vat of cheese sauce & throwing it away.
