oh yes we are, one of the things I crave and can't get enough of when I go home!

I used to use quark as a yoghurt or cream substitute in currys etc. Have you looked at the SW recipe books? I think the green recipe book in particular has some lovely dip recipes that use quark. The red pepper one was gorgeous.

The link made me remember that it's lovely added to the herb and spice mixes that you can buy specifically to add to yoghurt or quark to make up dips. There is a herb farm near here that sells 100's of different varieties.

is it Halzephron? \link{http://www.halzherb.com/catalog/index.php\here}
Also, pesto is nice as a dip or curry paste. Or garlic and mixed chopped herbs?
Good luck - you can use Quark in the same way you would mayo - mix it with anything really!

Here's a suggestion: You could whizz it in the blender with peppered smoked mackerel to make a dip (or as a sauce with pasta). I usually make it with natural yoghurt but would presumably also work with Quark. Smile

roast some garlic in the oven and then squidge it into the quark - yummy!!

Laura032004 · 27/04/2006 22:35

Tommy - yes, it is their herb dips that I buy. They're fantastic :)

I might try the garlic one that sounds good, how long does ittake to roast till soft?

I have never liked mayo so dont know what to do with that either.

Rub the whole bulb in olive oil and then roast for at least an hour and a half, the longer you roast it the softer and scrummier it is!!!
