Dd is 7 and eats this on a typical day-

Breakfast- porridge with jam or chopped up fruit or yoghurt. Small glass of orange or apple juice.
Mid morning snack- a piece of fruit( banana pear etc)
Lunch- a sandwich on brown bread (egg and ham, tuna etc) a piece of fruit. Chopped up veg (carrot sticks etc) . A yoghurt or something cheese based (baby bel , diced cubes of cheese )
Or she will have chopped up veg (carrot sticks, cucumber, cherry tomatoes) with a dip like hummus or guacamole. A boiled egg. Some pita bread and a yoghurt.
Then she will come home and have a proper snack again along with a glass of milk
Could be :
Toast
Hot cross bun
Glass of milkshake and a nutri grain bar etc.
Breadsticks and a dip
Piece of fruit

The dinner later on:
Casseroles
Spat Bol
All the usuals.

Then can still manage a dessert after ( a small cookie , a small choccy , yoghurt , small slice of cheesecake )

During the day other than her morning juice she drinks water. One glass of milk at home .

She eats more than I do!
Obviously her portions are child size for her age but I feel like she eats a lot writing that all down.

Sounds normal to me. Smile

Ha, you wait until they turn 12
My DS inhales food as I bring it in the house.
It's getting ridiculous.

I really have no idea how he can eat so much.
I swear every time he walks in the living rom he looks taller!

Sounds about right. DS is 6 and would fit in some cheese on toast before bed too if I let him....

Is she happy, healthy and a healthy weight?

Harrysmummysarah1 · 08/02/2013 20:08

Oh yes. She's a healthy weight. Skinny little thing since she lost her toddler pot belly Grin.
Dd 2 who's 4 can get some food in her some days to.
What they eat is 95 per cent healthy though. I allow the odd treat as I don't want them growing up thinking their 'bad food'. Everything in moderation.
