If you have any recipe ideas I would really appreciate them. Thanks!

Well we do equal cooking, so no 'complaints' as it's not a service relationship.

We are vegetarian but don't buy quorn because it's more expensive than tofu, which we marinate and use a lot and the flavoured quorn tastes disgustingly like meat.

DH doesn't eat meat, I do. He has quorn stuff sometimes but TBH he eats anything. I don't like pretend meat stuff full stop but eat lots of meatfree meals. Would rather have a spinach and ricotta canelloni than meaty canelloni any day.

For lower cal I would just go for very lean cuts or other pulse based dishes instead.

The new improved quorn mince is vile. It tastes overpoweringly of marmite. I like marmite but I don't want every cottage pie, lasagne, chilli etc that I make to taste of marmite. I used to be able to add my own flavourings. Sad I've started using tofu or soya mince instead.

DON'T DO IT!!!!!

I think its better to lose weight slowly and steadily! Eat normal healthy food (including mince beef) just watch how much and do a little more exercise.

I just use real (lower fat, good quality) minced beef and bulk it put with veg or pulses. I put red lentils in bologniase and you can't really tell I don't think. I think it's a tastier / cheaper way to make the food healthier.
