Garlic butter

I'd like to make my own garlic butter, which I'm sure I've read that a lot of people on MN do.

So, how do I do it? I've got butter, I've got (frozen) chopped garlic, and I've hot (frozen) chopped parsley. Then I want to freeze the garlic butter, I'm sure I've read about people chopping off what they need when they need it?

Haven't used frozen garlic or parsley before, but they sound like good time savers. I usually mash a pack of room temperature butter with a fork, add 4-5 large crushed garlic gloves, a handful of chopped parsley and mix well together ( I also like to add the juice of half a lemon). Place onto greaseproof paper, roll up into a sausage shape. I keep mine in the fridge, but I guess it would freeze well and you should be able to chop bits off as you need it.

Rufello, Waitrose sell frozen garlic and parsley, it's fab Smile. But...the garlic isn't particularly finely chopped, so I think I'll actually use fresh for this... Thanks for the amounts, that's exactly what I needed.

Loves, I'm very impressed with your homemade chopped garlic. Do you freeze on a baking sheet or in ice cube trays?
