Healthy Lunch ideas?

Recently, I have been eating alot of unhealthy food and really want to clean my diet up. I have started gym, so diet is crucial to lose weight. Just wondering what you eat for lunch which is generally healthy, Something on-the-go and can be picked up from most shops?

Thanks x

IMO, whatever you pick up from most shops isn't as healthy as making your own. M&S "fuller longer" range does what it says on the tin, but you'll be better off healthwise and financially if you make your own.

Sandwiches with wholemeal bread and low fat spread
Salad with chicken, smoked mackerel or some other form of protein
Fruit, raw veg (carrots?)
Soup in a thermos

Thankyou for that will definitely try it :)

Totally agree, it can be a pain making your own lunch to take to work but most things you buy on the go are full of fat and salt.

If you are after some inspiration, try just bento, taste of home, hairy dieters or the free Sliiming World 7 day meal plan.

Throw a can of tuna and a can of white beans (cannelloni, butter beans etc) and keep a jar of dressing in your work fridge. Bung it together at lunchtime. Better still, make a little extra supper the night before and take that to work with you. Stay away from bread.

Homemade soup; slice of bread or a pitta

I agree that it's better to take your own, if you can, both on health and financial basis.

My DH takes lunch to work and will take things like leftover dinner from the night before or homemade soup and bread. In summer, it tends to be lighter, more salady type things.

Yes definitely! I tend to spend way too much on buying lunch anyway, so taking it from home, has saves me many £££
