I have brown rice and cod in butter sauce.

I love it.

puddle · 18/04/2006 17:23

I like ginger oatcakes and a sliced apple - really yum together

crunchie · 18/04/2006 17:24

Brown Rice yes, with just a bit of parmesan cheese :)

Mashed potato (no butter) with quorn sausages (low fat) and veggie gravy - Almost free food on slimming world :) (only 1syn for gravy)

Thai-ish noodle soups. Anything with chilli in it seems very filling. I think Nigella bangs on about this.

Greensleeves · 18/04/2006 17:26

mmmmmm.....chillies....

I ate a whole pot of extra-hot harissa with a teaspoon last week Blush I really must change my ways!!

I love chick pea burgers, they are higher in fat than some other veg/pulses but are really good for you and tasty.

Baked sweet potatoes with low fat creme fraiche, chilli and lime juice.
Lentil and Vegetable soup and wholemeal rolls - yum.

MrsBadger · 19/04/2006 10:34

lentil and ham soup (OO I recommend this if you still have gammon left)

schneebly · 19/04/2006 10:36

oh - definitely homemade soup (non creamy obv!) with a big chunk of warm homebaked bread! mmmmmm

beansmum · 19/04/2006 10:36

porridge, with just a tiny bit of brown sugar.

suzywong · 19/04/2006 10:48

oh good one beansmum, and what about throwing in some frozen raspberries or blueberries so they thaw out it in the heat of the porridge.

misdee · 19/04/2006 10:50

i have just had a bowl of porraige made with skimmed milk and water, handful of raisens thrown in. oooo it was lovely.

Twinkie1 · 19/04/2006 10:50

Crackerbreads with a slight spread of butter and then turkey and baby cherry tomatoes on are my things - I could eat them all day. (Mind you crackerbreads with loads of butter on are much nicer!!)

beansmum · 19/04/2006 10:51

I love porridge. although I have to admit it is nicer with cream and golden syrup.

suzywong · 19/04/2006 10:59

you got that right!

FrannyandZooey · 19/04/2006 11:18

Fried rice with soy sauce is quite good - you could fry gently in a smidge of olive oil?

Thick lentil soup with butternut squash and a hunk of granary bread.

Hummus is pretty good.

Bananas and yogurt.

lilstarry1 · 19/04/2006 16:46

Yogurt with grapes in... Mmm good
Also a bowl of whole-wheat pasta with just salt, pepper and some cheese ... Very satisfying!

I love strawberries..
Agree that Porridge is fab, as is home made bread...
Omelettes too, which coincidentally is what I'm having for tea tonight. I am hungry now :)
