If you know about l-cysteine e920 in food- please come and talk to me- it's making me feel sick am I over thinking this?!

I'm a veggie, another veggie friend mentioned about l-cysteine e920 being in food. I've looked and its in all breads and wraps!! The thought is putting me off eating any breads now- am I over thinking this I want to be able to eat breads but honestly it's making me heave

From what I understand from reading about this a while ago is that L-cysteine used in baking within the UK is synthetic but I stand corrected if I have got this wrong. Can you provide references? I will try and find my source.

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8753698.stm bbc link does suggest synthetic more widely used but have seen on forums that brands have refused to say if the product in theirs is synthetic or not hope you are right though :)

thesecret you'll see from link it's used in baking products- used to contain human hair which is urghh nowadays if it's not synthetic it would contain feathers which is grossing me out
