has anyone made Nigella's Christmas Rocky Road?

and is it any good?

if not, what else can I make at the weekend? I need something where precision is not required, as the two year will no doubt want to get a bit hands on, but tastier than a chocolate crispy cake, as I am planning to eat the results, rather than just feed them to the DDs.

Not made her christmas one, but have made one of her's and not impressed.
Personally prefer this one (don't be influenced by the "chef"), and change the additions - usually raisins, glace cherries and mini marshmellows if I get my way. I've also heard people say crushed malteesters are good.
Enjoy!

My kids also enjoy making 1-2-3 biscuits. cream 1oz (25g) caster sugar with 2oz (50g) butter. Mix in 3ox (75g) of plain flour, and a sprinking of ginger or cocoa if you want. Mix to a dough, and then roll out on a floured surface. Cut out shapes. Cook 180 deg C for 10 mins, Ice if desired.

thanks for the tips.
I might make the AK one but definitely agree the chunks need to be less wholesome - i think DH would leave if no marshmellows were involved.

I've made the RR and it's gorgeous. So is the sticky gingerbread in the Christmas book. Might have to get it out now...

perhaps i should make both - some sort of non-bake-off. A fridge-off?
