It was packed lunch only at DD's nursery (but it was a term time, 9 til 3.30 nursery, not one of the ones geared towards working parents/longer days where some of the kids are there until 6).

TBH, I'd rather she'd had packed lunch made by me than some horrible lip/nipple/trotter sausage, cheap baked beans and smiley faces affair.

She is now at primary school (goes into Yr1 in Sept) and there is no kitchen there either, packed lunches all the way.

on site chef. if she's off the other staff prepare the meals. they've recently gone heavily for healthier foods and its seriously affecting my dd1 (she keeps asking for lettuce in pitta bread)

previous nursery (before we moved) all on-site, with brilliant cook who got increasingly frustrated when Leapfrog tried to impose "group standards" as they went against her own (excellent) standards

current nursery - bought in from local secondary school or you can provide your own. Not happy, but it is the only option!

In fact, it is very rare in my LEA to find a state primary with a kitchen. I'm not sure any of them have.

on site and organic. (although he hasn't started there yet but food was a big factor for me)
