We have made a sponge cake and ice cream which was easy but havent eaten it yet.

Will be making muffins as it is a good way of getting fruit in. Will be trying to make scones but what else can i make that is healthy and isnt full of junk? He wants to make bread so we will this week.

Ds is very fussy so i hope this way he will be more willing to try things if he makes them.

pizza or quiche

Puff pastry pizza...just roll it out and put toppings on.

We also make pancakes, drop scones and veg fritters.

Found making pancakes (crepes) good because they can be savoury with cheese and veg.

We made pancakes which was good as he ate them. We have no problems getting veg in but fruit is another matter which was why i made ice cream as he will eat that.

Toad in the hole is a good one as he might eat that - he likes sausages bt havent tried batter cooked like that.

How do you make veg fritters and drop scones?

Just like pancake mixture but make it thicker and then mix in a little sugar and fruit or a little salt and veg (sweetcorn, peas, cheese) and heat up pan. Then spoon in one spoon of mixture for each pancake...it'll spread a little but be about 1/2 cm not thin like crepes. 3 to a pan. Let them set and then flick over.

What about fruit smoothies? Might like preparing the fruit and then whizzing. Could add in milk, ice cream, yoghurt.

You could also make little cheese scones and as a treat if he eats dinner ect you could make
Rice crispy cakes, if you use raisans and coconut with the rice crispies or cornflakes they are a little healthier,
then use a good quality choclate like green and blacks,
add a little runny honey and melted butter bung in the microvave for a bit then when melted add the dry stuff,
they are so nice i only ever make about 6 at a time and i use oatbran crispis

DS does lots of unnececessary whisking of omlettes, and sprinkling in the cheese, ham etc.

He refused to even touch the rice crispie cakes i made. the only child i know that would refuse chocolate. We are making fairy cakes this afternoon.

chicken nuggets .. crushing up the cornflakes is great fun and they can dip them in egg then coat them ..

pizzas using crumpets or muffins as base (then you can just grill and not have to warm up oven), then slice tomato, ham, cheese & other toppings for child to add for their own tailored pizza
