does anyone know where I can get one of these, and any recommendations. I have seen one in lakeland for £20 but can't seem to find many others that just make normal natural yoghurt, I don't want one which I have to buy sachets of stuff for and it needs to be as quick and easy as poss.

We've got this Lakeland one - it's fab.
The only downsides are the thickest, creamiest, yummiest yog comes when you use whole milk - not so good if you're on a diet! (You can use semi though).

It's dead easy - you just need a pot of live yoghurt to start you off, plus normal milk. Once you get going you can use a couple of tablespoons from your previous batch to make the next one. Yummy! Scrummy!

The bowl thing doesn't go in the dishwasher for some reason. But apart from that it's perfect!

Apparently if you've got a thermometer you can make yoghurt just in a flask. The important thing is to start it off at exactly the right temperature.

I remember my mum having one more like \link{http://thecookskitchen.com/browse_8149?PHPSESSID=b7\this} - same principle though (live yog starter, add milk).

I also seem to remember one of the Elizabeth David book giving instructions how to make yoghurt just using a thermos-type flask and no special equipment - may have been Is There a Nutmeg in the House.
