Sorry if this is a stupid question but I have made dd some meals to freeze. I have made a chilli and added a tiny tiny bit of chilli powder.

DH thinks I am mad as he says she can't have it...Can she..??????

As fas as I am aware it's only a flavouring and probably the same as what is put in baby jars anyway.? BTW dd is 10 months.

I'd see if she likes it.

Don't know but Im interested in the answer - will go and look in annabelle karmel

They make curry for babies. As long as it is for flavour and is not hot, she should be fine. How old is she? Try her with it gently and see how she does.

No sorry it's not in the book i've got

GS has eaten food containing spices almost since he started weaning (minute amounts to begin with though). We gradually introduced him to the stronger stuff and now he's thoroughly addicted to chilli, curry's etc and eats what we do. He loves spicy food whilst others of the same age can't take the pace. He's particularly obsessed with Thai at the moment. As flossam says - it should always be for flavour rather than to blow their socks off though.

Thanks everyone. Yeah I have added it for flavour so she can try something different but DH seemed to think she couldn't have it so young..? TBH I couldn't see why not but thought I would check!! Men hey!! Wink.

BTW she is 10 months.

Will she is she likes it now........Thanks again.

I made a chilli tonight and added chilli powder and dd loved it she is 9mths, I was more concerned that the kidney beans were in salted water but I rinsed them, I also added half a tin of baked beans but the reduced salt/suger ones, was lovely, curry is next on my list Grin
