as 4 out of 7 times a week we cook from scratch - pasta dish, spag bol, fish pie, fresh fish with chips but the ready made ones are fish fingers (Bird Eye), ravioli, etc, etc

she have more or less the same as what we have

she have vegs 4 times a week (same as us) and plenty of fruits too (sometimes too much till she got a runny nappy - oops!)

Yes, you should be cautious about the amount of salt in food for children. Well, you should be cautious for adults too since many of us eat way more than our daily recommened amount - but the recommended limits are quite low for children.

I rarely add salt to any of our family food during cooking, but dh and I sometimes add it at the table.

I think you need to be aware that processed foods have quite a lot of salt added so ready meals for toddlers should be avoided as part of a regular diet, sausages, bacon, breakfast cereals can all have high salt content. It's also easy to get confused betwenn salt and soium .

Adding salt is pretty much a no no in all cases with young kids
I've never added salt to anything I've cooked for dd and rarely use it when cooking, people can add it later if they want to.
Tinned foods like beans/ravioli/spaghetti are usually high in salt.
Pasta sauces can be high as well, but some can be really good!
