Need breakfast ideas for work

My current breakfast is to grab a granola bar as I dash out of the house and then eat it when I get to work at about 8am.
I'm conscious its not good though - as I tend to be starving mid morning and desperately clock watching till lunchtime.

Can anyone recommend a better breakfast - I don't have access to a microwave or kitchen so something like porridge is out, and I'm already leaving the house at 7 so I don't want to be getting up any earlier to make a breakfast at home.

Any ideas on something portable I can just take and then eat when I get into office - I have time in the evenings just not in the morning. Ideally I want it to be healthy and help stave hunger pangs till lunchtime so I'm not tempted by the chocolate machine.

Thanks if anyone can give me some ideas to consider...

mckenzie it was inspired by these muffins. But the actual recipe I followed was something along the lines of:

1 Tbsp butter, melted
300ml yoghurt
2-3 Tbsp maple syrup (to taste, really)
2 eggs
125g oat bran
125g whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Handful mixed seeds (linseed, sunflower seed etc)
2 small apples, peeled, cored and shredded (could sub courgette or carrots)
24 big blackberries

Preheat oven to 190c. Mix wet ingredients together (I do it all in the measuring cup). Mix dry ingredients and seeds together in a bowl, then fold/stir in the wet ingredients (batter should be just barely combined, thick and lumpy and quite moist - add a bit of milk if you feel it's too dry). Fold in shredded apples. Dollop 2Tbsp or so into each muffin tin (as there's not much fat, this will stick to paper liners so better to grease tin). Press 2 blackberries into the centre of each tin, then fill with rest of batter. If you eke this out to 12 muffins, bake 20 min - if you do 8 big muffins, it takes more like 30 (fill the empty cups halfway with water if you only do 8).

These HFW breakfast bars are delicious and very filling. Also have lots of oats and seeds in them so healthy too .

Peanut butter booster bars

You could put granola/museli/oats into a little tupperware with yoghurt and fruit puree/chopped fruit in the evening, keep it in the fridge and take it to work in the morning.

Cheese and marmite sandwiches made an excellent breakfast today- gratefully stealing suggestions!

Do you have access to a kettle? You can buy pots of porridge in the cereal aisle. All you need to do is add hot water and stir. No microwaving involved.

Unfortunately no kettle, but this thread has a solution to that! I've got a thermos mug and will make some of that 'instant' porridge at home. It only needs to keep warm for 1 hour of my journey and then I'm ready to eat it as soon as I get into the office.
Thanks to this thread I've also bought one of those double containers for cereal/granola and the separate yoghurt/milk.
Just had my marmite sandwiches today - very good Grin
I like the sound of those peanut booster bars but I'm missing some key ingredients so a few of these ideas will have to wait till after the next shop.
