Can I ask what you give your children for breakfast.

Normally they have shreddies, cornflakes or weetabix and some orange juice. In the holidays they are allowed Cheerios.

However I think they would benefit from a bit more protein at breakfast. I definitely notice a difference in DS1 when he has Cheerios (although not DS2).

Neither of them will contemplate an egg.

my children have for breakfast:
toast and spread of some kind (peanut butter/jam/marmalade/butter/marmite)
cereal - porridge/ready brek/cornflakes/some other types
eggy bread
pancakes and toppings
omelette with cheese
(i know you said your children don't like egg, but would they consider it in a form such as pancakes?)
Also, fruit/yoghurt
sausages/bacon/beans/toast - at weekends/holidays, not every day

of course, not all at once!

Eggy bread/French toast is an excellent way of sneaking an egg past them.

Smoothies with peanut butter in.

DD is 19 months and has cocktail sausages, cheese and fruit for breakfast. She'll sometimes have rice pops or toast too.

French toast Grin. Excellent!

I have yoghurt or porridge and they turn their noses up. May have to find ways to make it more appealing.

DD (19m) will have porridge, muesli, weetabix, cheerios, or toast with cream cheese, jam or peanut butter.
Then she'll have a yogurt/fromage fraise or some fruit (fresh, pureed or dried).

On occasions we'll have a cooked breakfast (she'll eat egg, veggie sausages and baked beans), or scotch pancakes.

She eats more healthily than me! :)

you can soak some porridge overnight in milk and make smoothies, adding the porridge mixture in (goes soft), they won't even know it has porridge in unless you tell them!

DH loves eating soaked porridge, he adds yoghurt and fruit coulee to it in the morning, great summer version of porridge.

DS has toast or cereal

I used to be funny with breakfast (still am tbh but now I just don't bother) but I would eat dairylee/cheese on toast or eggy bread. Even tuna on toast sometimes

Smoothies - made with fruit, Greek yoghurt & maple syrup and topped with oat bran
Fried Eggs on toast
Crepes with sugar and lemon
Fluffy pancakes
Granola with Greek yoghurt
Sometimes they have leftovers from dinner.

During term time the dc have readybrek, shreddies or cornflakes. Then crumpets, or fruit toast and a smoothie. Weekends they have scrambled egg, French toast or a bacon roll and during the holidays they are allowed coco pops.

DD2 has brioche, crumpet, croissant or bagel during the holidays with chocolate spread or cream cheese.
She also eats boiled egg and soldiers quite often as a second breakfast.

School days it is shreddies, boulders, porridge or a brioche.

DD1 eats all kinds of rubbish for breakfast but she is 15.

At the moment we are eating these refrigerator oatmeal jars. I make up a batch without the fruit and then add the fruit in the morning. The raspberry one is my favorite and the DC love the peanut butter and banana one.

Banana mashed onto toast slips down easily and is filling. Needs to be solidish granary or brown bread really to be nice though.

Fried tomatoes on toast is also nice if you have some squishy toms.

Cheese on toast, when I have time on school days, porridge, yoghurt with cereal and fruit. American style pancakes, if I made them the night before, with fruit, bacon. smoothies

weekends and holidays

any of the above, scrambled egg and toast, one loves smoked salmon with hers, croissants, pan eau chocolate or similar, smoothies, toast, crackers or crisp bread with cream cheese, slices of cheese with ham, fruit.

They always drink diluted fruit juice. Both were anti egg until recently but happily accepted then in pancakes and cakes.
