I bet they won't be as nice as Reece's Pieces, the only good American chocolate, imho! Hmmmmmmmmm. Yum. Did anyone try the Caramac kitkats last year, now they were yummy.

Reeces are a sin! both in terms of flavour and calories, never seen one in Europe though.

Sansouci, he has been diagnosed (and he had another reaction after accidental exposure) so we are confident that although he has the allergy is not the life threatening version of it. At the moment we are more worried about many other things he showed to be allergic to, which are far more difficult toavoid than peanuts [sigh*]. Good thing though is that we are now eating healthier than ever. (no chocolate though! ARGH!!!!! Sad)

Oh god oh god oh god a what a peanut butter what? A peanut butter WHAT!?

williamsmummy · 13/03/2006 23:42

I must admit , a peanut butter kit kat fills me with dismay, as I HAD thought that kit kat was a safe treat for my allerigic son.
Will now have to contact them .
Reeces BTW are to be found in ASDA. ( have wanted to try them, but without allergic son nearby)

I love kit kats esp out of the fridge.

Chandra please be careful anyway. My anaphylactic reaction to peanuts didn't begin until my teens. Until then I had hives, runny nose, indigestion, asthma, excessive salivation, vomiting. Now I have all that & the rapid drop in bp, I go into shock & loose consciousness. Then eventually, death. I've come close to death twice & actually seen someone die at a party of anaphalactic shock (he was allergic to shrimp). I'm sure you know all of this already but anything to get the public in general more aware of what a food allergy can mean. Sad

They are divine.

Almkst as good as reeces pieces.

The in laws are coming over soon, hopefully they will replenish my reeces stovk!

Just to reiterate to all the Heathens that \link{http://www.urban75.com/Action/nestle.html\Nestlé} is actually evil. They are pretending to be all goody goody these days, but the report in the link says otherwise.

CountessDracula · 14/03/2006 15:33

Bet they aren't as good as Star Bars

LadySherlockofLGJ · 14/03/2006 15:35

Don't fret Rhubs, I am listening.

I'm careful Sansouci, I'm aware of the risk of the allergy escalating into something worse, so he is not having anything whose label has not been carefully revised. Obviously, there's always the risk of accidents so they have been banned at home (and thankfully, at nursery too). Now, can you tell me why some people are nice enough to bring chocolate covered peanuts as a gift when I have made everybody I know aware of the situation??? Arghhhh!!!

tallmummy · 14/03/2006 19:49

I'm listening too rhubarb. I saw something on the greenpeace website which I now can't find. Seems nestle are also sending babyfood contaminated with gm ingredients to asia.

rickman · 14/03/2006 21:49

Where can I try these Reece things? I have been hankering after a PB kitkat all day but they didn't have any when I went to Morrisons. Angry

I just found one after weeks of searching

Peanut butter element not crunchy enough and also insufficiently salty

Nearly disgusting IMO (though I choked it back somehow)
