Veggie Sausages?!?

I've read somewhere that sliced up veggie bangers are a good finger food for babies from 9 mths on. Am trying to avaoid too many additives, salt etc, so can anyone suggest a good brand please.

Hmm. I think you would have to make your own to avoid the salt and additive thing - there are IMO some tasty brands around but I wouldn't reccomend them as healthy, particularly. How about cooked brown lentils with some egg and breadcrumbs to bind them, herbs and tomato puree for flavour, perhaps chill in the oven before gently frying them?

Thanks F&Z. Am trying to give DS as much homecooked food as possible but wouldn't mind a couple of stand-bys ready for when I go back to work in May Sad so am trying to get organised.

You could freeze homemade ones if you cook them in bulk. Falafel are popular too.

Cauldron Foods do some lovely veggie sausages - including some organic ones - but they do have sugar and salt in - so not sure how healthy for babies.

Tescos sell them in the chilled section.

Cauldron foods ones are very popular with my children. they don't have many additives. made from soya, egg and breadcrumbs, not quorn.
