Meal ideas for under 5s?

I'm sure this is not a new topic to the seasoned mums-netters, so please forgive the lack of originality....I'm looking for some meal inspiration for my little ones. Also, wondered whether you prepare two cooked meals per day or one cooked plus a lighter one? What kind of things do you give yours?

Mine are relatively unfussy, so go for it!

Homemade chicken/turkey nuggets, homemade funny face pizzas, pasta/pesto & some grated cheese, mini meatballs and spaghetti with added veg in the sauce, macaroni and cauliflower cheese, fish pie, chicken fajitas, little jacket potatoes with different fillings?

DD is 3, and her new favourite is eating 'our garden' Hmm it's basically a cottage pie in a small individual dish, but I pop a small amount of green food colouring gel into her mashed potato and then it magically transforms into turf Grin the mince is the soil, the mash is the grass. Such a novelty for her, I however am sick to the back teeth of cottage pie Wink my mum was disgusted when DD told her she had eaten 'muddy grass' for dinner!

Stews, lasagne, fish pasta bake type things, (good) fish fingers, pasta pesto and peas, cottage pie, sausages, piece of fish with vegetables.

He usually gets either lunch or dinner cooked, occasionally both. Any time I cook anything suitable I put 2-3 portions in the freezer for him and then reheat as needed.

They (3.10 & 1.4) usually eat a big meal at midday & then a light tea.

Like skiing I try to bulk cook whenever possible, so I have a freezer stocked up with meals for when I CBA to cook Grin

They eat the same as us as much as possible (possible ideas here?) as I can't be doing with cooking twice at each meal [lazy].

Spag bol is always good! Before you think it's boring - remember you can blitz some celery, carrot and onion and add it to the sauce. It adds a lot of flavour and lets you get some veg in the kids without them even knowing!

I'm always looking for new ideas, as feel we get stuck in ruts quite easily so this is great - love the idea of chicken fajitas. Current staples are risotto, stir fry (with left over rice usually, or noodles), meatballs and pasta/ tomato sauce, omelette with potatoes and veg, fish cakes, sausage and mash, spag bol. We usually do something lighter at lunch (sandwiches/ soup/ gnocchi and cheese/ scrambled egg/ beans and baked potatoes etc) then proper cooked meal at tea time... DS1 (4.4) is about to start reception, so I guess it might all change, but that's been our routine for a while
