What cut of lamb if you're not keen on lamb.....

Sounds random I know but I can't bear the strong flavour of some of the lamb I have had. I used to love lamb chops when I was little but not sure if I can eat them now. Got a leg of lamb from a really good local butcher (local lamb too) but I couldn't even bear opening the oven door. But we went to a very nice restaurant a few years ago and I tried my husbands dish and it was delicious - I couldn't believe it was lamb. No idea on the cut.
Are shanks strong flavour?

Slow roasting lamb makes it sweeter. You do this with shoulder.

But maybe its less about the cut and more about the other flavours in the dish if you don;t like the flavour? Have you tried a lamb tagine for example?

This makes sense to me - dh also finds lamb a bit too "meaty" sometimes.

Broadly, he can eat leaner cuts of lamb, in smaller amounts. And loves it. So small, medium well-done lamb cutlets go down well but a slow cooked lamb shoulder stew is too "strong". He likes leg of lamb, but I roast it simply with rosemary and garlic and lemon and slice him thin slices of the non pink bits.
