pork chops in the oven without drying out, possible?

On the phone so forgive for any errors.

Have pork chops, will be out of date tomorrow. I'm looking for an easy recipe to oven cook them without drying them out. They're boneless. I know I can't braise them but could I slow cook them?

Any ideas gratefully appreciated.

I have often done then in a tin with roast potatoes - put then in for about 3/4 an hour on a medium heat. Even nicer is to coat them in breadcrumbs and herbs, and cook in the same way.

They don't dry out, and if you have gravy with them it is even yummier. Wish I had some - could fancy that for tea :)

I love cooking pork chops in the oven and they never dry out. Usually put them in with a little bit of water in the bottom and cook for about 30 mins, then make a sauce with fried onion/ garlic/ herb/ chicken oxo, whatever you want really. Pour over the chops so they're about half covered, and cook for a further hour. They are lovely and moist and soft plus you have a bit of gravy in the bottom too mixed with all the nice juices. If the fat hasn't crisped, turn it up a bit at the end.

I brush them with olive oil and cook in foil (same as chicken breast), or else cover them in a jar of sauce

I usually put them in a tray with some water, cover with foil and cook low for 1.5 hours. Makes them fall apart.

Agree with water. I do mine in a closed cassereole dish in water, on a low heat. Love them with roast potato, gravy and apple sauce, mmmmmn!

Some lovely ideas, thanks everybody.

No breadcrumbs or suitable bread to make them but that sounds lovely, will keep it for another day. Going to go with a little bit of water, cover and make a nice gravy. Slow cook til (hopefully) tender.

I'll report back, wish me luck!

Low heat? 160c, 180c or lower?

low heat would be 160-170 for 1.5hrs.

I like to brown them in a pan briefly, then put them in foil with sliced mushrooms and cream, seal them up and put them in the oven at 100 degrees for an hour.

That's interesting GR Should I sear them first? Won't get juices then though will I? I have them in the tray now but haven't added water yet.

I do them at 150. Thats coz I have a fan oven and find it quite hot.

CR, I only do them in the pan for a minute or two, just to get the sides brown, because that makes this lovely taste. It won't dry them out so you'd notice, and the cream will add moisture.

This is actually one of my favourite recipes!

Yummy! Nicest pork chops we've ever had. Will definitely be doing them like that from now on. It was like eating a different meat.
