if yoy have any whole cumin seeds, dry roast and sprinkle them over the top

Dijon mustard

Stick a stock cube in it and yes to cummin and seasoning, careful with salt if you've used a stock cube

Cream. Mum's soups always taste fab, and it's coz she always puts cream in them! Not so healthy, mind...

Aromat seasoning is good. It comes in a yellow tin. It also tastes good sprinkled on bubble and squeak.

Creme fraiche is an alternative to cream. Stir it in after you've heated up the soup.

You could also sprinkle on some flavoured croutons, or lightly toasted pine nuts.

If I'm seasoning soup I use soy sauce rather than salt as its a richer taste. Or abit of stock. Otherwise you just get salty carrot soup.

I made 'summer soup' on Sunday which comprised of lettuce I needed to use up (yes really Grin ) and herbs. Only palatable really due to chicken stock & addition of cream!
Got rid of the damn mixed bag of lettuce though!
