Recipe for child-friendly fruity curry please

I am after a child freindly fruity curry recipe to try on my nearly 2 year old.

this is the one I made up - ds 5, and dd 15 months both like it.

Ingredients:
garam masala
2 chicken breasts, cubed
1 finely chopped onion
clove of garlic chopped
one apple cubed/some sultanas
coconut milk
tomato ketchup

Heat some oil in a pan and add 2 teasponns garam masala/curry powder/whatever, seal the chicken then add the onion. Fry for a couple of minutes, add garlic, cubed apple, sultanas, 1/2 tin coconut milk and big squirt of ketchup. Simmer until the chicken is cooked through (20 mins?).
I cook something resembling this once a week - it varies depending on what's available, I have added peas/mushrooms instead of fruit. I serve it with some rice and maybe poppadums. Both mine seem to like it. Good luck.

I fry onions, mushrooms, peppers etc with garam masala and some cumin seeds, then saute things like diced potato, carrot, courgette, swede, parsnips whatever (nice sweet veg are popular). Add stock, creamed coconut, almonds, sultanas and tinned chickpeas, and simmer until tender. Very sweet and creamy, and popular with dads as well.

no the orange lentils cook relatively quickly (about 20 minutes)

I've put too much garam masala. Any ideas what i can use to tone it down? I haven't got coconut milk in the house. Thanks.

does it taste too bitter or too spicy

yogurt is good for toning down the spice, some honey might help with the bitterness

Thanks. It tastes a bit hot, so i guess that's spicy rather than bitter. I have some yoghurt so i'll try that. Should i put it while it's cooking or when serving?

mmmm this sounds lovely. Could I make it and then freeze it? No-one else wants fruity curry tonight.
Can I re-heat in microwave?

you can do either but if you do it when it's served it is creamier and also physically will cool it down

I'm sure you could freeze it

if it's really too hot tinned tomatoes will dilute it or orange juice/juice from pineapple

Aha, now that's something I have (tinned tomatoes and juice). Thank you v much. DH will have a surprise when he gest home from the football match. He usually does the cooking in our house. Thanks again.

I used milk in the end and that was enough. It turned out lovely and DD (12 months) has already had some. I've had most of it and there's a little bit left for DH (DS,6, is quite conservative and he's poorly today, so he won't even taste it).
