I made peppermint creams for DDs teachers. Made them yesterday and left them over night in cool dry cupboard to set, they looked perfect this morning. I half dipped them in chocolate then drizzled a zig zag line over them all. That was done about 3 hours ago. The chocolate is set but even when I get them off the grease proof paper they melt a little bit.

I've bought cellophane bags and pretty ribbon to put them in (originally I was going to make fudge but it went wrong) if I had known I would be making peppermint creams with chocolate I would have bought little boxes. I don't really want to pay out anymore, as we have got her main teacher some other gifts as well.

Do you think if I put, say 8 peppermint creams in each bag, they will melt together? I was going to pop them in the fridge, but I think when they come out the chocolate will sweat and it will be worse. Argh! Don't know what to do Sad

Just write a nice thank you note for the teachers.
Eat the sweets.

Nooooo I can't! (I ate the fudge) we have loads of these and they look lovely, would be such a waste to not use them now.

Ok. I'll try to be more practical.

Could you put a bit of card in the bottom of the cellophane bags to support them??

Or carefully layer 4 over 4, still sitting on the paper? Would that work?

They're not flat bottomed bags, but i'll give it a go anyway. I'm thinking about just giving them out before school starts then if they melt a little bit, I'll never know Grin
