KitchenAid, Kenwood Chef or AN Other?

OK, gadget pornsters, tell me how wonderful your toy is.

Specifically, I need help preparing veg: my dodgy hands are getting dodgier, and my tantalising veg box make me want to cry with frustration.

It looks like I can get a potato peeler attachment for the Kenwood, and julienne slicers for Kenwood and KA.

But has anyone tried these and do they actually work? Any other recommendations?

Given these gadgets need a small mortgage for the cover price, never mind the extra kitchen space, I can't really put one on my Crimble list unless it's going to earn its keep...

Marking my place. I have decided on KA but only because of its beauty so will be interested to hear if it is any good. Just need to decide on the colour.

Ha, if you're me, you'll get something to match the tiles. And then change the tiles...

Kenwood is more practical, and better value for money. Kitchenaid looks nicer.

Any more for any more?

I had a KA: pretty and good for slicing veg, not great for chopping herbs or grating cheese (too rough), not great for kneading.

Now use a Kenwood. Have not tried slicing but kneading is vastly superior, as is mixing. Sorry I cannot help on the peeling gadgets.

Ah, that's worth knowing, thank you SuiGeneris. Grating is exactly one of the things I want it for - thought maybe carrots and beetroot would behave differently from cheese...
