Normally ( and almost expected ) to do cupcakes at end of term but its 33 degrees what can I do instead? ?

Its become a bit of a tradition that I do cupcakes for the teachers, and staff at the dds pre schools- 2 different ones. Thing is the temps are averaging 33 degrees and although I have air con at home at the schools they don't and I envisage the icing becoming warm and yucky. Also I am not sure I would want to eat buttercream in this heat . What else can I do instead? My biscuits are not on par with my baking.
I thought of the hummingbird lemon slice but it doesn't have the same ' wow ' factor ..Cupcakes are still a novelty over here....
Anybody any ideas? I have about 7 people to do something for .
Many Thanks

How about a glacé icing- water/ lemon juice or orange juice and icing sugar? Like on an iced bun?

Or flapjacks? Crispy cakes?

I have a problem getting crushed oats , otherwise that could have been an idea. I am scouring websites looking for ideas.
I might try the glace icing an possibly look at doing other flavours, coffee, orange, lemon as you suggested and maybe try to make the cake base more exciting.
Thanks

Fancy iced cookies?

How about some rocky road squares, just made some and they are scrummy.

Glace icing is no good in hot weather either.

Would about bakewell slices or mini tarts.

ANything that doesnt have a topping. If all else fails search on "cake central" as that is worldwide and many recipe ideas from hot countries.

What about coloured meringues? French-y style?
Pastels, the kids will lap them up.
