Children's Drinks

I was shocked to see what is in some of the drinks I am giving my children. Is it true that drinks like J2O actually have 15 teaspoons of sugar in them? I also read that Lucozade and Powerade Energy also have the same amount of sugar in them and that's before you look at the sweeteners added.

I also see that some of the drinks are selling in schools. How is this possible after the Government's action to create healthier meals?

It is shocking to see how much sugar is in these drinks, also old school drinks like ribena are packed with sugar. It seems to me you either give your child loads of sugar or man made sweeteners which have a questionable effect or stick to good old fashioned milk or water. I generally put a bit of proper fruit juice in and top up with water.
