dh is away this week and my diet has been appalling. I just can't be bothered. I bought myself a piece of fish yesterday but it just feels like too much effort. Toast for dinner again.

I was thinking how do you get round childcare but your youngest is about 12 IIRC? Do you enjoy it?

DH away last night so I had a fishfinger sandwich with fresh home-made bread, mayo and ketchup! Did have some fruit afterwards.

Often I eat with the kids and try to make them something I like on those nights. DH is away again so I am making a fish pie for the boys and me.

Am really bad - he was away last night, I had fish and chips.

He was away all last week and the week before (except weekends)- ate a mix of a couple of healthy meals, mostly crap

Nope - 'burger in a pitta' is as good as it gets!
But its as bad the otherway round - if I'm away dp lives on cereal...

Yes, youngest is 12, fn - well remembered

It has meant I've not been here to see him after school 3 days a week, and that bothers me more than I thought it would. (I think it bothers him a bit too, he is always v pleased to see me on the days I am here.) DS1 (17) is usually here when he gets in and DD1 (23) gets in from work just after 5 but he tends to go his own way so he spends more time on PS2/TV then under my regime

The job is OK, now it's become routine bits of it are boring but occasionally I get someone who wants something interesting/complicated and I can be on the phone for ages with one of those - v satisfying if they go away happy!

I try to eat a bigger/heavier meal midday, and then do soup with crusty bread/crackers after dd is in bed. It's filling, and no trouble. Also am not so tempted to nibble too many empty calories.
