Bottom oven liner?

squaredog · 02/06/2012 08:30

New gas cooker just arrived. It's a 'slot in', Leisure, along the lines of the Rangemaster.....

Now the bottom of the oven doesn't have a drip tray.....

What does everyone do here to help with the cleaning?

I have no answer, but I've reported the post to MNHQ so they can move it to a topic that will probably get you an answer.

Tin foil?

Moln · 02/06/2012 08:35

I have been told lidl sometime have in this lining stuff that can be washed

As of yet I don't know if it's heavy enough not to flap about when the oven is on (esp as I've a fan oven)

however id anyone else has a better solution (and that wouldn't be very hard!) I would also be interested

Hi there, we've moved this into Food. Thanks.

Have a look at the lidl one! Lakeland do one too.

I've just got a big baking tray in there. It's okay.

the grill pan that came with my single oven (which I never grill with) fits into the bottom shelf supports & catches most drips

I bought one of those washable liner things from aldi but as you're not supposed to put anything directly on the bottom of an oven - or most ovens anyway - it was a bit of a waste (although I suppose I could lay it on top of a shelf in the bottom supports)

I use one of the Kleeneze oven liners, it's brilliant, non stick and so easy to clean x

I have just bought 2 from Lakeland, came highly reccommended, were £10 each.
