Bun tins and muffin tins - interchangeable?

I am finishing a bakeathon for a cake sale tomorrow, and I would like to do a double batch of muffins, I have all the right cases but only one muffin tin. Will they collapse if I use muffin cases in a bun tin? The muffins are rhubarb crumble ones with quite a bit of fruit in, and I am worried the bun tin won't support them properly. Should I just be patient and cook them in separate batches?

They probably would collapse (spread and be very wide), i would cook them in seperate batches if you have the time.

I'd agree with Marne. Don't know if it would work if you double-case them?

I agree with Marne.

Do 2 batches.

I always end up batch cooking them.

For information:
Muffin Tins.........Deep with steeply sloping sides and flat bottom
Tart Tins...........Shallow with less steeply sloping sides and flat bottom
Bun Tins............Shallow with rounded bottom

Or at least that is what we make.
