Cake queens over here please! Can I ice a frozen sponge cake? Can I drink and decorate?

Complex timing issues...
I have made and frozen three Delia All-in-one sponge cakes..

One in the shape of a butterfly which I need to buttercream and then ready-roll ice to take to a friends party on Saturday. We will be back late and bit tipsy. The other two are to make into a castle cake for DDs birthday party Sunday lunchtime.. this also needs crumbcoating and ready rolling.

I would usually defrost for 2 hours the night before, then do some buttercream icing that evening,to eat he next day. But I have never ready rolled onto a buttercream coated sponge before - just fruit cakes.

So how on earth do I do the timing? can I butter cream a frozen cake and then refreeze? Then can I do the both cakes ready rolled on Friday night?
TIA

I don't know! I would defrost them during the day on Friday and buttercream and ice them that nights to save rushing at the weekend. I normally use ready roll direct onto the cake surface, having brushed off loose crumbs. I don't know the proper way to do it but I've not killed anyone yet and I get good cake feedback! Good luck!!

I think I might jam then readyroll them?
