Making my own butter but....

Can I add olive oil to make it spreadable? I have wanted to make my own butter for ages, and have read how, looks easy enough. Can I then add some olive oil to it(after I have removed butter milk, washed it etc)?

I did it! It worked. I made 300g, two are in the freezer as by the time I added oil to 100g I had enough to last me a week in the fridge. It looked a little runny, but I knew it would set. It's delicious, spreads easy.

You can make it in a jar too, pour milk into a jar with plenty of space left, put on jar lid, shake, shake more, shake endlessly, volia! Butter. Kids like doing it once .

I did this

www.allotment.org.uk/recipes/making-butter-at-home

I used my Kenwood. Washing it was a bit of a faff. I then split what I got into 3 lots(I used 600ml of cream), froze 2 lots. Mixed one lot with a little rapeseed oil and whisked it until it blended. It looked a little liquidy(not a real word) but I knew it would set in the fridge. I got 225ml of buttermilk from it too. Great in cakes, pancakes and bread.
