In the past always followed the GF routine, since lo has become a toddler, I have noticed that the last couple of weeks food patterns completely changed. Could be because he is teething and just not interested in food, but I honestly don't think that his teething is really effecting lo that much.

I'll give you the general pattern of what is happening now and the meal times, would appreciate any advice and info from other mums of how they coped with feeding a young toddler. I don't want lo to get fussy !!!

7.30am Breakfast normally 1 weetabix, or porridge or cornflakes. (in total including milk used in cereal - prob. only taken about 4-5floz milk).
8.30am Half a piece of toast.
9.30am Rice cakes, perhaps a biscuit. 1/4-1/2 an apple. Water to drink.
I leave his milk in beaker out from morning but lo won't drink it.
11.30am Lunch - usually something like fish fingers and veg or lamb hotpot and half a little yogurt and some fruit. Water to drink.
Today refused to eat anything for lunch, had a few mouthfuls of yogurt, so put to bed as tired.
2.00pm Snack - normally 1 biscuit, bread stick, some fruit. Water to drink.
4.30pm Tea - might be boiled egg, refuses toast often. Might eat cheese sticks. Rice pudding or semolina for a pudding.
6.30pm Milk for bed.

Don't really know if I should change the eating times and give light snack for lunch and try and give bigger dinner in the evening. I find at lunchtimes now getting so tired, but evening again is so tired.

What can I do ??? Any ideas would be appreciated.

I was told by my hv to ensure that he had enough milk i.e. put into pudding etcs. if not keen on drinking too much milk.

Think hes going to be a slim child anyway.

I am taking him down halfterm to be weighed and height taken, as hv is new and wants to check up on him.

I would be aiming gradually towrads roughly breakfast at 8.00, biscuit or fruit at 10.30 and lunch at 12.30, maybe milk and nap aroun 1.30 and dinner around 5.30 and milk at bedtime

in the meantime working around where he is at the moment as i said earlier similar to hunker

I'll see if I can push him to last til 12.30 for lunch, will try tomorrow, if he doesn't then i'll give a light lunch after he wakes up from lunchtime sleep and see if that works.

Give anything a try.

My little boy is the same age as your little one and hay they are great at refusing food.... I give him breakfast at around 8 oclock usually cereal or toast, at midday ish he has a sandwich
and fruit, mid afternoon he has a few snacks maybe more fruit or a biscuit and then around 5 oclock he then has a cooked dinner followed by a pot of custard rice pud ect. He goes to bed at around 7 30 just beofre his bedtime he has a beaker of snoozoo daft name I know it is a hot chocalate made by horlicks but desingned for kids without all the addetives that seems to work a treat. It is hard though when they refuse food my little one used to love porridge now he wont touch it.

poppy101 normally about half a hour before he goes down, I struggled at first to get him off his bottles so I changed the evening drink to the hot chocolate and made sure it was in a beaker it was hard but it worked
