Quick ideas for dd's supper after a journey and before we find our feet? Tin of sardines and ... And what? Oatcakes, I suppose, but I strongly suspect she doesn't like oatcakes. Any ideas?

Couscous - do you really just need a kettle?

Flapjack? Ricecakes or mini breadsticks? How about an instant pasta pot if you'll have access to a kettle.

Are we talking after a flight? If so how long is it and will you have a meal on board?

Or are you meaning once you get back home when your luggage has exploded all over the house???

I am assuming you will need to carry these with you.
ready made Tuna salad, babybels, ricecakes, fruitpot can all be served cold and don't suffer from lack of refridgeration
if you have a kettle then couscous, noodles,
if you have a microwave beans on toast

Beanbagz it's a train, I'd expect to eat some sort of fresh-ish picnic on the train, but when we get to the other end, just have my luggage left, not extra carrier bags and bollocks. So supper items tucked inside luggage so that I can feed her with minimum fuss if I have to.

Flapjack and Babybel are good pack-able ideas that might tempt her.

yes, you just need a kettle for cous cous. stir in one of the ella's house sauces (curry, tomato based pasta one) and that's a reasonable meal in 5 mins.

otherwise: precooked pizza; spanish omelette; potato salad plus other bits (how long is train journey? you can always pack next to an icepack to keep cool)

or M&S do some nice children's ready meals - what about packing one of those, and bunging in the microwave when you get there?

could you make or buy some pizza the day before, cook, cut into slices and put in tupperware type for the journey? Pizza is good served hot/cold/room temperature! Grin

I just knew I'd find energetic packers here who would cleverly pack fragile and fresh foods in a suitcase using the correct tupperwares and icepacks.

It's not for me, I'm an unenergetic packer. Cupboard stuff is the solution - the ella's suace into couscous is a great idea!

For a 2 year old a second snack-type meal is fine, I'd have thought. EK pouch, crackers/breadsticks/dry cereal/whatever, some Babybels, dried fruit/nuts, water.
