22 Month old won't eat for me

I am feeling totally useless at the moment as my 22 month old girl will eat everything at nursery and at grandparents, but when at home refuses nearly all food (except yoghurts) from me or my husband. I have tried not giving her anything if she doesn't eat but this has failed. I keep reassuring myself that she is testing me, but need some advice if this is normal behaviour???

By yogurts, do you mean yogurt mixed with sugar and fruit? I'd drop those. Offer only savoury food, and maybe some fruit. (How has not giving her anything if she doesn't eat "failed"?)

It is normal for kids to be difficult about food. It is normal for them to prefer yogurts etc to normal food.

It does really help to relax about all this, as much as that is possible.

I usually give her the Yeo Valley Organic yoghurts. I have tried to not feed her anything if she doesn't eat but after not eating breakfast and lunch I am usually despairing by teatime so will relent and offer a snack like yoghurt or cheese and bread.

I don't think there's anything wrong with offering cheese and bread, or anything else like that, that you think she'd like.

Yeo Valley yogurts are organic, and less sugary than lots of other yogurts, but they're still not great. If you could switch her to, say, plain organic yogurt with some mashed up banana, then it'd be something with nothing icky in it at all.

Food fussiness is really normal at this age. It's also very normal for them to skip loads of meals, particularly between about 1.5 years and 3.5. If you have a look around, you'll find loads of threads with the same complaints you're making.
