I know butter make you fat and "spread" is the healthy option but which is better for you?

You can get organic, vegan, non-hydrogenated spreads.

But they are a sad substitute for butter

My MIL had run out of butter and so cooked using marg - I suspect that she always does given the number of trips to A&E that have been made after going there.

She phoned 2 days later to ask if he'd had a reaction - dh said he had a mild reaction mostly on his face. "Oh, no, he had the rash on his face when he came - that one must be your fault" she says.

I want to strangle that woman.

Apparently margarine is one of the only foods that rats won't touch.

And if you leave a tub of marg out the flies won't touch it either. Considering what flies do find palatable it convinced me to ditch the spreads!
