I've seen several mentions of these recently described as brainfood - but I still really don't know what they are. Can someone explain and tell me what foods/supplements they come in please?

Oily fish! You can buy Omega 3 oils from the local supermarket. I take it as a vitamin supplement during winter. It's supposed to be really good fr the heart. Eskimoes eat so much oily fish and they hardly have any heart disease.

He He. True! It will repeat on you and you will smell! You'll end up with a healthy, but alas lonely heart

My DS has verbal dysraxia and Jimjams recommended these. Only problem is that they are the size of horsepills and DS refuses to take them! They cost me a fortune too

I will try to break them into his food but I suspect unless he lives on tuna for the next few years - he will detect the oh so lovely odour of fish!!!

jmg- get the microcapsules from IQ, they are weeny but you have to eat a whole sachet. My 2 take them happily mixed into Yoghurt. Even I can swallow them and I am hopeless!

You won't get the oils from tinned tuna - tuna (though not other fish) loses the oils in the tinning. Eat tinned salmon instead.

Some eggs are enriched with Omega oils as well. Can't remember what else have it in at the moment.
