I'm allergic to milk so I cant use butter and I dont want to buy them as they all seem to use palm oil and I try not to use that as they are cutting down Orangutan habitat to grow it.

Anyone?

Unless you use a solid fat of some kind they won't be crisp or melt in the mouth.

Coconut oil?

just use a dairy free margarine

Lard or coconut is a good idea, I hadn't thought of that! Thank you.

I don't have dairy free vegetable spread as it usually contains palm oil, they kill any orangutan they find, if it's a mother and baby they keep the highly distressed baby as a pet. They feed them the wrong foodsand keep them in tiny cages. It takes ages for aid agencies to rescue them as transporting orangutans is illegal even for the welfare centres.

Palm oil is used as it is solid at room temperatures so biscuits etc can be described as trans fat free, but palm oil is saturated so it's not brilliant but trans fats are worse.

I would rather have a bit of lard in my diet than participate in the palm oil trade. Brazil palm oil is ok as brazil doesn't have orangutans.

Phew that's a lot of typing on a phone.

I mean the palm oil growers kill the orangutans, they put a bounty on their heads for the people who clear the forest for the palm oil plantations
