refreezing spinach?

Bags of fresh spinach in asda say do not freeze on them, any one know why?

My actual question though, ive started buying frozen spinach to add to DS (7months)dinners as its in cubes and easy to chuck in! I made a vegetable korma for him thatincluded frozen spinach, there was some left over that I then froze. It is safe for him to eat, as its been thawed, cooked then refrozen?

Many Thanks!

Yes, it's absolutely fine to freeze cooked food which includes ingredients which have previously been frozen.

No idea why Asda don't think you can freeze their spinach though!

Thanks, I did try googling it but got confused with all the frozen, freezing, refreezing that was going on!

Maybe because frozen vegetables that contain a lot of water get limp when thawed. They're fine to add (whilst frozen) to stews and soup but not suitable for salads. So perhaps the supermarket instruction to not freeze is because it will look and feel entirely different to its original state after thawing.
