I need to make some things for a cake sale and I was wondering if I could use some of the million ramekins and Waitrose creme brulee glass pots in my cupboard them to make mini key lime pies? Or will they crack?

The GU ones are fine, I reuse them but I'm not 100% certain about the rest.

I would try and remember what came in the pots, if it had to be heated them it should be oven proof, if it was a chilled desert them it might not be!

Just re read your post - key lime pie isn't baked is it! then of course they will be fine Grin

All my ramekins were free with something chocolatey inside:)

I havent put in oven but I have frozen and cooked in microwave in them and they were fine. I think some were choc souffle pots originally so wouldve gone in oven initially. All gu though, don't know re other brands

Yes, Key Lime pie is baked. I guess the Creme brulee ones ought to be ok as they are safe to put under the grill.

i've used them to make chocolate fondants, which cook in the oven for about 12-15mins. No problems.

Fabulous! I am utterly thrilled to have found a use for them at last.

I was wondering if the GU ramekins were from the cheesecake? As I was going to use them to make fondant in the oven.
