SMALL pizza bases

Does anyone know if (or where) you can get small pizza bases (max 6 inches?)
Or failing that an easy pizza base recipie that will have enough dough to make five 5inch pizzas (have a 5 inch bowl for a template!)
we are having a few friends over in half term.... the children will be 2, 3, 3, 4, and 5, so ready made bases would be better (as im sure adding on all their toppings is more than enough fun / mess )

But failing that i would make the bases at least 2 hours before, and get them out for them to decorate!

Any ideas anyone TIA!

I had easy recipe for Pizza Base. You mixed equal quantities(start with tablespoon or 3) of oil & water into flour until right consistancy, then roll out.

Works well for kids pizzas

I just cut napolina big ones in half before they put the toppings on.

Asda sell packets of base mixes and I guess if you bought 2 boxes it would be enough.

id never seen mini pizza bases in a supermarket before... can anyone say are they fresh or frozen (so i know where to look)

also IF anyone knows if waitrose / M&S sell the that would be good to (long story but bosses brother works for green peace at the other supermarkets have such poor animal / ethical policies im "not allowed" to shop there and give them profit!)

NannyL, the pizza base recipe in the new Jamie Oliver book is lovely if you have the time to make your own. It makes a lot of dough but I've discovered that you can freeze the uncooked dough and it still rises when you thaw it out and use it so its really handy to have a few little bags of it in the freezer. The recipe is - 400 g bread flour
100 g ground semolina flour (in Sainsbury's, Waitrose etc)
half level tbsp salt
1 7g sachet dried yeast
half tbsp sugar
just over half pint warm water

mix all ingredients together, knead for 10 mins, leave somewhere warm to rest for 15 mins then roll out very thinly to required size. You do not precook the dough (which is what makes thes so lovely and authentic) but put the tomato sauce and toppings onto the raw dough and cook at oven's highest temp. My kids think these pizzas are nicer than our very nice local Italian pizza place. HTH

Anyone seen get ready-to-roll fresh pizza dough in the chilled cabinet anywhere? We had ready made bases at the weekend but half the fun of making pizza with the kids was in the rolling out.
