Help, how can I cook pork other than in oven?

I took some pork belly joints out of the freezer yesterday with a view to tonight's dinner, but then the outer glass door of the oven somewhat unexpectedly fell off. Buggered if we can get it back on again. DH says it will require specialist screwdrivers, of which he has a set somewhere in the house, but buggered if we can find them. Anyway, how do I go about cooking my pork joints? Is it possible to do them in the slow cooker, or pot roast them on the stove top?

Pork belly slices are our favourite BBQ items, so you could just grill/griddle them. Alternatively, start them off on the griddle, then transfer to a cast iron casserole with cider, tommatoes and onions and cook on medium heat for about 30 mins.

Yes you can cook belly pork either of the ways you mention.

You wont get crackling of course and there's a chance it might be a tad greasy.

Personally I don't mind either as long as it's not vv fatty.

Bad luck with the cooker door, I hope you get the little bugger fixed quickly.

Thanks, some good ideas there! I think I'll slice/griddle/casserole, in the hope I can get most of the excess fat out during the griddling process.
