freezing mash?

can you freeze mash which has butter and mash?

yes I do it all the time, when it's time to take it out of the freezer I either microwave it from frozen or let it defrost and add a knob of butter to it. Yum

Frozen mash is the best thing to have stashed away in the freezer. I'll always cook a bit extra for the freezer. One of my DS's doesn't like chips (strange boy) so on the odd occasion we have chips i have ready mash for him. I also freeze left over beans. Instant dinner:-)

Yes, I make batches to freeze in small portions for ds's tea, as can not make tiny portions from scratch. I also freeze small portions of leftover tinned sweetcorn.
