I have made a big pot of quorn bolognaise, and there's loads left. It's nice.

Can you freeze it after cooking?
How does it perform nutritionally, especially compared to ordinary mince?

TIA

I dont know, but can I have the recipe, please? I love quorn...

Freezes vvv well, I usually batch cook with it.

Nutritionally, much much lower in saturated fat, contains similar levels of amino acid to beef mince.

Yes your quoth bolog will freeze perfectly. You may find when you defrost it that there is some watery liquid at the bottom of the container but you can just stir it in again and reheat. As for recipe you just use the quorn mince as you would meat but you will find you need more liquid as quern is very thirsty. What I do us add a jar of pasta sauce then a jar full of water plus some Tom puree and it works well. It is way lower in fat than using meat

Thanks all.

Glitter, with quorn mince I do the sauce first, onion, garlic, tin toms etc nd let it simmer for a while because the quorn itself only takes about 20 mins, but I like the sauce to cook out for a bit as it takes the sharp edge off the tomatoes.
