just seen this in Tesco's - no added sugar chocolate

I don't understaaaaaaaand
surely all chocolate has sugar as a key ingredient?
what counts as "added"?
will it be filthy or delightfully bitter like Green and Blacks?

It will be either weird, with fake sugar, or proper north american baking chocolate, which is inedible on its own.

Chocolate can be savoury, the bean itself isn't sweet.

maybe it's got a sweetener in like sorbitol intead of sugar? companies like boots and thornton's produce chocolate suitable for diabetics, so there is definitely chocolate available without tons of sugar.

harpsichordcarrier · 20/01/2006 18:36

urgh do you think so? with sorbitol?? sounds horrible.
I couldn't bring myself to buy it even for experimental purposes

I bought it today - by accident you understand - and it is infact 'chocolate with added sweetener'. Tastes like normal choc to be honest though but a bit of a gimmick me thinks.

I know diabetic chocolate has fructose in it...it's very crumbly and tastes of raisins I ate mountains of it when I was gestationally diabetic with DS1
