Lunchboxes...

Ok so not in the UK, we have had 6 glorious weeks of no lunchboxes but kids go back to school on Monday.

Please share what the last lunchbox for your child had in it and inspire me.

BTW not a competitive thread just a shameless stealing ideas thread.

Oatcakes and rice crackers are good as are cream crackers with cheese (and pickle). Cherry scones with clotted cream and jam (can put these in little pots if worried about sogginess but my dcs never complain) or cheese scones. Cheese biscuits. Cold pizza slices or strips. My dcs are very big on home made pasties atm with cheese and onion or leek. Can also add peas, carrots and/or sweetcorn. I've seen other children take in thermos pots of baked beans with strips of toast to dip in. Cold bean salad. Haloumi cheese with salad.

Also slices of quiche or mini puff pastry tarts with tomato/pesto/cheese/veg combination.

Ds too young for lunch boxes, and I refused just about everything but water crackers with pb when I was young(!) but I browsed my way to this the other day and thought I'd share:
