Buying a Panasonic bread maker - without the fruit and nut dispenser

Hello all, I've decided to ask for a Panasonic bread maker for my birthday (crazy huh Grin) and I'm toying between the SD-2500 (no fruit or nut dispenser) and the SD-2501 with fruit and nut dispenser. The SD-2501 is £20 more expensive which is why I'd rather go for the cheaper one, but I will occasionally want to make bread with olives, sun dried tomatoes, raisins etc in, oh and pizza dough.

Can anyone who has the more basic model tell me if I can still do this with the cheaper machine, or should I really just get the more expensive one with the nut dispenser?

TIA and sorry if I'be bored anyone to death with this less than interesting topic Smile

You can but you have to manually add them during the programme.

You can still add stuff - you just need to be around when it beeps to tell you to do so. The only disadvantage from my pov is that for some reason you're not supposed to make rye bread in there (I think. Must just go and check this).
I wondered about spending the extra money, but to be honest we so seldom add stuff that I've not felt the loss at all.

Brilliant birthday present by the way.

Thanks both, I think I'll go for the cheaper one then as I'll be making just regular bread most of the time.

Of course you can - you just have to be around for the raisin beep.

I have the dispenserless version of a slightly older model and the only difference I was disappointed in was the lack of rye bread option and paddle in the more basic model.
