Yes, it's fine. Any reason why it wouldn't be?

Well someone said that she had been disappointed with some of it so she uses Doves now.
From what I know of both suppliers I am more inclined to go with Shipton Mills.

Which ones do you use?

I use whatever I can get really, from Lidl own brand (white only, sadly) to Doves or Sainsbury's own. But mainly Shipton Mill because our local wholefood shop stocks that, and deliver it with our veg. It comes in lovely big bags, so you don't run out every 5 mins.

There is a difference between the wholewheat flours in how they react, but it's subtle. Some will work okay without adding extra vit C, but some won't. Can't remember which ones now, but you can play around with it to see what suits. I sometimes take liberties with the recipes to use up odd bits of eg. granary or rye flour. Mostly it comes out okay, occasionally it goes a bit funny. I have a good breadmaker, though (Panasonic); others might be a bit more temperamental. But I've certainly never had a problem with Shiptons specifically.
